The browser build is the creator’s own HTML5 export of the Godot game, hosted here so you can start playing without downloading an installer. No account, no payment, nothing to install.
This host adds a Back, Fullscreen and Controls toolbar, load-status feedback and anonymous operational events. It does not change the story or endings. See our privacy notice.
No official mobile support yet
The official page lists HTML5, Windows and Linux only, and the creator says a phone port is being worked on but is not out. The game expects a keyboard and mouse, and players report that the browser build does not respond to taps. Play it on a desktop or laptop.
The first load is the slow part
About 83.1 MB of engine and game data has to arrive before the title screen. On a slow connection that takes a while. If your connection is poor, the desktop build (Windows 73 MB, Linux 64 MB) is downloaded once and then works offline.

I Can Smell You from Here is a psychological horror visual novel by catproblem9735, made in Godot for the Spooktober 8th Annual Visual Novel Jam opens on itch.io. You play someone on his first-ever date with his first-ever match from a dating app, and the horror comes from the story he has to keep telling.
This game was made in an attempt to capture a very specific fear of mine: telling one lie for whatever reason, then having to make up increasingly ridiculous details just to keep the story consistent.
Choices matter and the game ends in 5 different ways. Each run closes with a probably unnecessarily precise psychological evaluation that shows you how close you actually are to her heart each run.
The official page lists English as the only language, subtitles as an accessibility feature, an average session of about half an hour, and confirms that no generative AI was used in the game.

03Before your first run
Four things that save you a bad first hour

Read the controls once
ENTER, SPACE and the left mouse button do almost everything, but the difference between a tap and a held press decides whether you pick a choice or skip one. The controls page lists all six official inputs.

Play in a desktop browser
The browser build is a threaded Godot export and needs WebGL2 and cross-origin isolation, which this host configures. Loading on a phone does not guarantee usable touch controls; a desktop or laptop remains the recommended way to play.

Let the game tell you its controls
Since v1.0.1 the game shows the essential controls on boot, so the first screen tells you what to press. TAB reopens them at any time as the OPTIONS menu.

Use the save slots instead of your memory
TAB gives you 20 save slots, a trace of the choices you have made, and a restart at the main date scene right before the branching begins. It is the honest way to explore the endings.

Who is waiting at the table
Your match is Idimya, 24, listed as < 1 km away and online now on the dating-app parody Fumble. Her profile lists coffee, baking, reading, museums, animals, lo-fi hip hop, with the tags Art, Cats, Coffee.
The Idimya page collects everything the official screenshots actually show about her, and nothing else.
